Will I be asleep?

Thankfully no, hypnosis doesn’t require you to fall asleep. Often in a stage performance, a stage show hypnotist says the word ‘sleep’ and the volunteers on stage appear to go into a type of sleep. However this is an agreement to allow themselves to relax ‘as if they were going to sleep’. They are not actually asleep, although it does look like that. Hypnosis and sleep have actually nothing to do with each other, you will be glad to know. Also, you can’t get stuck in hypnosis, no-more than you can get stuck in a daydream.
